TRIVIA: In 2003, Tristan co-produced, co-wrote, and sang on the hard-hitting concept album, Chairman of the Bored, by the band Undercurrent. Working alongside multi-platinum winning producer John Stronach (Reo Speedwagen, Dan Fogelberg, Joe Walsh), Grammy winning engineer Matty Spindel (Santana, Motley Crue), and rock guitarist Paul Krause (VH1's Rock-n-Roll Fantasy Camp),
Tristan found a way to tie together his bold, classically trained vocals, his hard rock roots,
and his experience in the military, to create an original, and ecclectic indie rock album. The debut was heralded as a gutsy, highly unique project. Opponents of the war, Undercurrent aimed to shed light on the cold, hard realities happening in the Middle East, and its far reaching effects, while still remaining patriotic. Tristan served as the bands frontman for the next four years, from 2003-2007. The albums lead song, Fight West, became a cult favorite via internet radio, and was used in several film and television shows internationally.
